We Are Sons Of Durin

This is my newest Hobbit fan art. I called it „We Are Sons Of Durin“ because this scene is one of my favourite moments in „The hobbit – The Battle Of The Five Armies“. It’s a moment of tenderness, family, love, reconcilment, but also of strength  and determination , it’s the calm before the battle.
Moments like this are the strengthts of the Hobbit-movies. There are too few of them, but the ones which are there are amazingly well thought and acted. The scenes in which the actors are allowed to bring their subtle acting, gestures, facial expressions, double-talking.  In these moments I can feel  the  old magic of the fantastic „LOTR“ movies shining through.
