Update

I was a little bit absent the last days, I tried to finish the fan art drawing and painting I’ve begun (ages and ages and ages ago). Good news (for me at least, because it means my descent into insanity will be put on hold) – it’s going very well and I definitely will finish one or both of them VERY soon.

Then I’ll do a drawing for some relatives of mine. Could take quite some time, but my cousin told me she is patient. So thank you for that, dear!

Also, with HobbitCon coming up I am not sure if I should at least try and craft a bracelet or something like that to fit a little bit better in. I am very excited, though I wished they had invited Mark and wished that Dean didn’t have to cancel, because the more (real or by choice 😉 )Kiwis the funnier. We’ve been to NZ one year ago and it was incredible. If you ever have the opportunity to travel there: DO IT! You’ll hardly ever meet more sympathetic, laid-back, funny, loveable and honest people like you’ll meet there. The landscapes are breathtakingly beautiful and you really feel like entering Middle-earth. One of the things that stood out most – for us – was their non-aggressivity. Imagine having a speed limit on the streets and NOBODY is travelling with you in they trunk of your car, because he/she drives so closely behind you. Doesn’t happen there. Nobody will overtake you in a risky situation, no one will sound the horn. They’ll wait till a „passing lane“ appears and overtake then. No drama. Here – where we live, is quite the opposite going on… Let’s say driving to work in the morning isn’t very nice. You’ll learn a lot of non-verbal communication while driving by for two seconds, I tell you. People are very creative.

So, back to topic. I said I’ll split the homepage in two blogs, one in English and one in German language. I already arranged a few things 🙂

I wish you all a great week!

P.S.: We had to photograph the sign (It marks the point of no return on the Tongariro-Alpine-Crossing-track).

And here we have Mt Ruhapehu aka „Mount Doom“ from Sir Peter Jackson’s „Lord of the Rings“ – movies. Impressing. Pity I didn’t have a better camera. But you get the idea 🙂

Maybe I’ll post more pictures from our trip to NZ in the future – if you’re interested and I am able to. Damn, just looking at the photos makes me well up and want to return to that beautiful country.
